The only way brake fluid can be related to a clutch slipping is that it leaked on to the friction surface or the slave cylinder is not fully releasing pressure plate. In this case it sounds like the brake fluid has nothing to do with the slipping of the clutch.Normally, with a brand new clutch friction plate (material thickness 6 mm), this clutch rod measurement is about 17 mm (tad less than 11/16 inch).
