Shop manual specifies 2.110" from PTO disc hub to top of lever adjusting screws plus or minus 0.010" and a "G" gap of 0.050 to 0.054" (for my particular model) at release lever strut. Hi everyone, I own a ford 3000 which encountered a transmission problem the other day. I was driving it in low first gear when I head a clean metallic break sound and lost all traction in the rear wheels. PTO still turns and the transmission shift levers still engage but no power transmission to the rear wheels. A 5000 psi liquid filled guage is around $20 at Northern Tool and probably Harbor Fright too. Screw it onto one of your remote/auxilliary hoses and open the valve for a second or two. Post back with what it reads. Your pump should make around 2500 psi. If substantially less then that you may have popped a piston/seat or two in the pump.
