It would do, the imprint bonus is a huge boost to melee and hp though. you are missing the second part of imprinting. Yes they dont get a rider bonus, but they still get the 20% bonus stats in hp, food, weight, melee, movespeed. To elaborate: 100% imprint gives you the 30% riding bonus (deal 30% more dmg, take 30% less.)This would allow any tribe member to imprint on the tame and have benefits for any tribe member riding the tame. This would help those individuals that are not able to put in full time. Now, there would be a reduction in the quality of the "fist-pump". Perhaps nerf it by half.
