TwinCarry. 365 posts · Joined 2007. #10 · Feb 1, 2009. The Kimber SIS Ultra 3" 45acp, was my first of this type of pistol (1911, 45acp). Honestly, I was quite please with how manageble the recoil was. But my example may not be the best because mine weighs 31oz vs the other 24-26oz Kimbers.
